One Cool Guy - 'From Downtown'
Kevin told me about these guys hailing from good ol' Union, New Jersey, and I must say I'm rather impressed. The band seems to be very influenced by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Onyx. And let's face it, rap+ska=musical goodness. The first song on the album 'Xample' is a great song and tells you what these guys are all about. Nothing else on the rest of the album caught my ear as well as Xample did, but the 6 others songs were definetly more musical goodness. 'Urban Ninja' and 'Skank Away' really rock some serious socks. I'm talking serious.

H2O - 'Thicker Than Water'
This album came out like 6 years ago but I just got it so fuck you. This is H2O at its 3rd best('FTTW' and Self-Titled albums own this one) and its still GREAT. 15 songs and the album only runs 30 minutes. Perfect, I love my music fast and hard. Exactly what H2O brings to this album. Lyrics are very positive, as are all of Toby Morse's albums, and the music is great street/hardcore stuff. Rating - 18/20 - Posted 8/29/03
